Drew & Emma’s Surprise Proposal at Garrapata Big Sur

Drew had been planning this for a while — and knew he wanted something stunning, but also personal. We met him at our go-to proposal spot in Garrapata State Park, where the ocean crashes far below and the cliffs light up beautifully at golden hour.

As soon as Emma saw the view, she was already speechless. Then Drew dropped to one knee — and she burst into tears. The moment was full of emotion and connection.

But he wasn’t done.

Moments later, Drew’s sister stepped out from hiding to surprise Emma, and the wave of emotion continued. We always love a good family twist — and this one was sweet, personal, and perfectly timed.

After the proposal, we drove just a few minutes down the coast to Garrapata Beach. This second location added an entirely different energy: soft light, open space, and the chance to relax and soak it all in.
